Day 14 Blogging Olympics Dressing Up My Blog

Today for the Blog Olympics, I need to change something on my blog to make it look better or be more user friendly. The correlation to the Olympics is dressage, as in the control and presentation of a rider and horse.  In this example, our blog is the horse.

I actually spent a lot of time decided exactly how I wanted my blog to look when I first started.  I created the header based on inspiration I received from Monet (my all time favorite painter).  I chose the color purple, because it is the color commonly used for Fibromyalgia Awareness, but I lightened it a little to fit with the overall feel I was striving to achieve.

At this point, I didn't change much.  I added a Twitter Follower Gadget. I moved some gadgets on the sidebars around.  I moved the Blog directories, challenges, and hops icons to the bottom of the page.

I'm still trying to fix an issue where the archive list shows for a few moments on the left side bar and disappears. I've got to figure out in the code what I have set incorrectly for that one!  I've tried a few things, but as yet am still unsuccessful at fixing that.

If you have a suggestion for something you'd like to see differently on the blog, please let me know!

  1. your header is beautiful, love your site and Monet (saw them for real in Paris!) I think your home page is perfect how it is, Will investigate the rest now.

  2. Thank you. I'm so jealous. I've never seen Monet for real, someday!
