Impressionism Makes an Impression on Me

I woke up today to a thin blanket of snow covering the ground.  Often when the weather shifts a great deal, I find myself fighting increased pain levels, but today I found the snow to be a quite beautiful surprise.  For some reason, it reminded me of a picture of my daughters at a wedding year ago. Knowing that my abilities today are going to be limited, I decided to look for the picture and found it!

But I was still struggling to find some inspiration that would capture my imagination.  Then someone posted a picture of “Springtime” painted by Claude Monet on Facebook. The combination of these two pictures inspired my new header and blog theme.

I chose purples to be the overall color because purple is the color for Fibromyalgia awareness.  It’s actually a deeper color of purple for the Fibro Aware campaigns, but I just loved the light airy feel the lighter purples provided.

And even more than inspiring me to create my own “work of art” for my blog, the painting inspired me to find out more about Monet.  I have always loved his stunning paintings and use of color, but I never took the time to learn about his life.

Today I took the time to learn about Claude Monet. Actually, I probably learned this in the past, but like many people with Fibromyalgia, I am faced with difficulty remembering things. Anyway, I learned that Monet’s life story is actually pretty inspirational on many levels.

My main post tomorrow is going to focus on Monet’s inspirational story and life.  Hope you stop by to read it!
