I
am very proud to be able to say that I did in fact complete 31 posts in 31
days. I actually did a few more than
that. I did not always do one a day; some days I
did 3, other days 2, some just 1, some none, but in the end I made it to more
than 31 posts in the month of July, which I am delighted with!
Just as importantly, I
made some new friends, learned a lot of about tricks and techniques for
blogging, gained more traffic, and developed some great relationships with
other bloggers.
The time I spent writing posts helped me clarify
the direction I want my blog to go in, improved my writing skills, and showed
me that there are many wonderful people in the blogging community to meet and
learn from.
I
learned so many things from this challenge. Everything from how to make a
vision board (I’m working on one right now for my Fibromyalgia Awareness
campaign) and how to use blogger effectively. I also learned about Reiki music healing, other illnesses and diseases (besides Fibro), about the lives of many wonderful, interesting people, and so much more from the other blog participants.
I also learned how to use Twitter better, but I still have a lot to
learn about Twitter. At least I actually know what a hash tag is now, and how to have a conversation with someone else in Twitter. It's a start! I gained major
spikes in traffic, comments, and likes or followers.
I’m actually going to
miss the Ultimate Blog Challenge and will participate again in the future. At
the moment though, I am looking forward
to August and the extra time to finish my website and get it online, finally
have the yard sale that I planned to have earlier this summer, and continue
marketing efforts while creating great (albeit fewer) posts for awhile.
Actually, I’m going to
try to do the Blog Olympics throughout August also, but I’ve learned how to
write ahead of time and schedule the posts to come up, so I’ll be in far better
blogging shape and I’m going to force myself to only write one a day for awhile.
I hope. Doing another challenge right after one completed may be too much, but
we’ll see how it goes!
Thank you to everyone in
the Ultimate Blog Challenge for sharing your knowledge, becoming friends and
helping with so many wonderful things. I couldn’t have asked for a better
experience.
I still have a game of
tag and one award, from some great people in the UItimate Blog Challenge, to complete
which I will certainly try to finish before midnight tonight. But it may be a few more days for them, but
they will get done I insist! I appreciate them a lot, especially awards. Such a kind gift to give to other bloggers.
Thank you
everyone and I hope our friendships flourish even though the challenge is
ending. May you all have great success with your blogs and continue happily blogging!
Congrats on making it to the finish line; feels good, doesn't it? Looking forward to seeing what you'll have to say next.
