In the wake of successfully completing the Ultimate Blog Challenge, I'm now in the midst of a Blogging Olympics Challenge that I signed up for just before the UBC ended. for July 2012. I joined a Blogging Olympics Challenge fairly early on and then missed the e-mails about it and ended up starting 5 days behind, YIKES!
For the record, the reason I didn't get the e-mails was due to a Fibro Fog moment on my part where I appear to have had the e-mails auto directed into a folder before the challenge began, because it was important, and then forgot about the folder.
Today is Day 6 and I’m pulling together some quick posts to catch up tonight. Some just need finishing touches and others I need to put together quickly.
I still need to confirm a guest blogger for day 5, but things are looking good on that front, because I've already met two great people in the Blogging Olympics who would be willing to swap guest posts with me. So, hopefully, we'll be able to put that together soon!
Tonight, I just want to warn everyone that I'm going to be posting multiple times to catch up on the challenges I'm behind on.
Also, just to keep my head on straight as I try to catch up, I wrote out a list of each days challenges and where I'm at with it.
Here’s an overview so far and what I’ve completed:
Day 1: Opening Ceremony – Introduce Yourself on Facebook –
DID IT!
Day 2: Tennis Rally Up Five Ace Blogs and Share Them – DONE JUST NEED TO POST NEXT
Day 3: Pentathlon -Do a How To Post -I'm cheating slightly on this one and doing an informational post as that fits better with my blog direction at the moment
Day 4: 50 m Freestyle - Write and post in 10 minutes or less AND Publish - Originally, I planned to use my last post, but instead I'm going to illustrate quote using a photo. Just going simple on it, so I know I can finish in under ten minutes and post.
Day 5: Handball - Hand over the writing duties for your blog to a fellow Olympian and then give someone else a hand writing for them. -This one is still in the works and will be posted when done, it will be my one post that is out of order for the Blogging Olympics.
Day 6: Blogging Olympics Hurdles -Share a blogging hurdle you are experiencing then help someone else with their hurdle. - Need to add pictures and post.
Once I get these done, I will be caught up with the Blogging Olympics. So please bear with me as I post a bunch tonight, I promise it will slow back down to a normal rate again very soon!
Also, when you try to accomplish something fast and have a deadline upcoming or already past, do you take the time to write a to do list or do you just go for it?
