Power of Intention Manifests in My Life Again

Ahh, the Power of Intention or as others call it the Power of Attraction.  On this very morning, I received proof yet again of the power of my intention in my life. I really need to remember to carefully consider what I put my focus and energy towards!

This morning I started writing my Manic Monday post, but really was NOT into it. So I started doing a little free writing of what was popping into my head to try to get me motivated. The first two sentences I typed were “I really don’t want to write a post today, but I’m in the Blog Challenge. I wonder what I can come up with that will prevent me from writing this right now.” The reason I’m not super into writing at the moment is simply that my brain is feeling foggy and unfocused.

Then I started talking about the daily themes I came up with for the blog and how they are helping me stay on track, but  I  chose not to do the Blog Hop on Saturday. The reason for this is simply that the code in the post for the trial run of the blog hop caused all of the posts on the page to be squished, making it hard for people to read and NOT looking as good as I like in Internet Explorer.  As a result, I’m holding off on doing the Blog Hops until I figure out what exactly in the code of the Blog Hop Post or the code of the template I made for my website is conflicting.

Earlier today, I read a post from a blogger who did not appreciate being told by a reader that her blog was difficult to read.  This helped me appreciate even more a gentleman named Lee, a wonderful reader and a strong advocate for Fibromyalgia awareness, who took the time to let me know that something was wrong on my blog.

He was seeing lots of html text in my posts that didn’t belong. So I looked into it. The blog looked great in Safari, and Chrome, but then I went to Internet Explorer and OMG! It looked bad, any place that had a list had extra html showing and the home page of posts was literally squished forcing writing to go over pictures.  I knew instantly what was causing the lists to have extra html, but I had no idea what could be causing the home page to be so squished.

I like to write in MS Word, but I usually copy and paste my text over to a basic text editor (Notepad) before bringing into blogger to prevent the extra MS Word code from conflicting with Blogger code (the issue tends to present itself primarily in Internet Explorer).  Well, thank you Fibro Fog. I had completely forgotten to do my extra little step all week, until I received the helpful message from Lee.

So I hop onto the blog and start fixing the posts with the issue. Once I was done, I checked in each of the browsers again and discovered I was not even close to done.

My blog was still squished on the home page in Internet Explorer! YIKES, I was hoping fixing the list code was going to fix that too, but alas it was not to be. Took me awhile, but I found that when I removed the Blog Hop post, the page looked normal again. So I removed the trial run and opted not to do the Blog Hop for now.

So, my Manic Monday post is supposed to be about the upcoming week and my random thoughts and so forth.  So I guess, I’m rambling along in the right direction for my intent now.My plan for this week on the blog is not really flushed out completely. I’m feeling foggy and too unfocused to come up with a cohesive plan at that moment.  I already started a few posts, but the rest will be a little up in the air!

1.  Terrific Fit Tuesday – diet or exercise related–Benefits of Lemon Water (already written, just working on my graphic for it still)

2. Wacky Wednesday -whatever comes up –A Funny Story I was told that made me laugh (already done)

3. Transformation Thursday – something that inspires me –I’m leaning towards my five favorite Halloween movies since it’s getting close to Halloween

4.  Fibro Friday -an article about Fibro- It will be most likely about symptoms of Fibro or Fibro Fog specifically, unless a wonderful woman who is working on an exciting 2 part guest post for us on Aromatherapy ends up finishing it or if a gentleman who is working on an informative guest post about ways to handle joint pain finishes it.  Both topics are fantastic and totally different. So if one of them submits, I will do their article otherwise I will do either Symptoms of Fibro or Fibro Fog.

5.  Simply Inspiring Saturday – not a blog hop-probably something that inspires me- we’ll see!

6.  Simplified Sunday – an illustrated quote or thought or poem –this week it is going to be a poem that one of my Fibro Friends (Esther) wrote that I’m illustrating.  Great poem, I think you will all like it!

7.  Manic Monday Next Week –Always a surprise, even for me!

So that’s my plan for the week.  As I read this post back to make sure it makes sense, I’m having a hard time focusing, so I asked my husband to read it real quick.  He says I need to finish the story I started with about the Law of Intention. Well, I did mention that I’m foggy and unfocused today, right?

Unrelated Again, but isn't Ireland pretty?

Anyway, as I was saying at the beginning of this post, we need to be careful about our words and intentions, because something will happen to make them materialize!  In my case, I was leaning specifically towards what I could manifest in my live so I did not have to write this post right that minute, when BOOM. The power went out.  Not just here, but throughout our town; more than 5,000 households were affected!

Well, the power is back on and I've been working on this post for about 25 minutes.  Everything takes longer when the brain is fuzzy! Thankfully, MS word did a document recovery and saved my first two sentences, which I shared at the top of this post, because there was NO WAY was I going to type them again!  Check mark on Lesson Re-Learned.

Hope you all have a great Monday

P.S. Did you notice my random images in the post? I was practicing my new skill of embedding pinterest images in a post! Hopefully, it doesn't cause any issues with the code on my blog...

  1. Wow, that's a lot! Ha ha : ) It all looks really good, so it seems like you fixed your problem! I like all your weekly topics, and the specific ones you chose for this week. I'm excited to hear about some lemon water and Halloween movies!

  2. Jenn, Thanks so much. Isnt't it funny that a post that I wasn't in the mood to write, became so long? I normally would have edited more, but I really am brain foggy at the moment.

  3. Emily,
I applaud you for being able to come up with a weekly plan while having fibro fog. I get gluten fog when I eat it. It might be similar--like trying to connect through ice cold syrup?

I did notice the images. :)It all looks great. Love the purple background.

  4. Thanks Diana, that is exactly what it feels like right now-trying to connect through ice cold syrup. I didn't realize there was a gluten fog,but it sounds very similar to the fog I'm going through at the moment. My doctor had me try going without gluten for a while to see if it was affecting me, it wasn't, but I ended up liking gluten free pastas a lot, so I still eat them and eat very little gluten anymore.

  5. Then you are miserable. :( Some of the pastas are good. I don't eat any gluten unless it gets past my gluten radar. Then it's 3 days of misery.

  6. It's a bit of a rough day. For me with the Fibromyalgia Fog it tends to be caused by either severe lack of sleep or extra pain, at the moment mine is from some extra pain. I've spent most of the day on a heating pad watching tv that really isn't making sense at the moment. Honestly, I'm glad I can still write a little. Fortunately, I am usually in better shape, just have these days or series of days that it gets worse...
