Back to Being a Glimpse in the Life of a Fibro Woman

So here it is the first day of the Ultimate Blog Challenge and I'm right on track with my first post here and on each of my blogs. I have no idea, if I'll be able to keep up this pace this month, but I will certainly give it my best shot!

Anyway, this blog is going to focus more on my actual life with Fibro again. (Like I originally intended) So, I will still posting things that inspire me (and that I think might inspire you too!) and you'll still get a glimpse into my life, but I've started a new blog for the more factual Fibro articles and what not at

So far, I only have two posts on the new blog and am still working out the design kinks (especially on the home page), but I think it's coming along nicely and thought you might enjoy a preview!

My plan is to use the same Facebook page (After all, this blog and that one both fit nicely in the Fibromyalgia niche!) and I'll be linking to stuff from both of them!

I found this really cool graphic to use for my Welcome post on the new blog that said it was copyright free, so I changed it up a little bit (I flipped it and changed the field to stalks of purple - in honor of Fibro of course!) and used it as the first image for the featured section on the home page to go along with my welcome post.

Eventually I think I'll add a quote to this picture, because it is just SO cool! To me, the picture seems to invoke a sense of freedom and beauty in a whimsical way with the purple fields of Fibro surrounding, but not quite swallowing her.

Does anyone have any ideas for a quote that might work well with this image?

P.S. I know it's April Fools Day too. Do any of you plan to try to pull off a good prank?

  1. I like your image and the description - sense of freedom with her surroundings not quite swallowing her. I suppose we are all surrounded by forces and we need to use our strength to keep us grounded. Appreciate your insight to remind me of this.

Haven't pulled off any pranks. And, fortunately, haven't had any pulled on me ;)

Look forward to reading more on your blog,
    Jodi

  2. No pranks. Didn't pull any. But one of my co-workers got a prank pulled on him. I thought of doing a hoax blog post but I just couldn't think of a good one. Maybe next year.

  4. Jodi,
Thank you for stopping by I like how you mention that we need to use our strength to keep us grounded!

    bookworm,
I didn't pull any pranks either, my daughter freaked me out in the pool and called it an April Fools joke though, so I guess I ended up being pranked!

    Priyanka,
I'm so glad you came by. I went to your blog and loved the poem. What a clever idea to do poems for the A to Z challenge! I'm participating in the A to Z challenge on my www.totallyemily.com blog
