This is a lovely Saturday
morning. I woke to birds chirping and dew on the ground. It's early in the morning and the sun is already shining brightly overhead. Perhaps summer is finally really beginning here. The girls have a dance recital today, so I'll be spending most of my time fixing their hair, volunteering to help at one of the shows, and watching the other show with the rest of my family.
As a result, I probably will not post much today. I haven't really done anything yet today in terms of finding inspiration, so I think I’ll write about the recent eclipse. The eclipse was in a word - stunning. With special glasses, we were able to see the
ring of fire intermittently through the clouds.
This was a rare and treasured moment with my family witnessing something
truly awe-inspiring.

Picture of Beginning of Annular Solar Eclipse-Taken with My Digital Camera |
The Annular Solar Eclipse was actually in May, but I just uploaded my pictures of it from my camera. Normally an Annular Solar
Eclipse looks like a "ring of fire" surrounding the moon. Although we were able to see this with our
special glasses, the pictures I took with my digital camera were not very
spectacular. I do really like this one
I added to this post though. The eclipse was just starting at this point and doesn't really show what the true eclipse looked like, but I think this picture is beautiful anyway...
For those of you who have not
had the opportunity to see an annular solar eclipse or “ring of fire,” here is
a picture taken of the eclipse from a viewpoint in Texas. This picture shows what the eclipse really looked like through the special glasses. I presume the photographer must have had some sort of special lens to get such a great photograph.
